Does hitting conga drums with sticks affect the sound quality?
I’m in a band class at school and some retard grabbed sticks out of my locker and played on the congas for like twenty minutes with them when we had a substitute. now they sound funny. could this have been caused from being hit with the sticks a whole bunch?
Well because the skins are different and a little bit more stiff than a normal drum head, i wouldnt recommend using drumsticks on congas. If someone was playing them for that long and they sound weird you might want to trying just re-tuning them to see if you can get the old sound back.
