I would like to make my snare drum sound like a marching snare for a song I’d like to play?

Can anyone tell me how to get what I think is a 18×16 ludwig snare to sound like a marching drum if possible

first use a lot of dampening becaue marching snares have hardly any overtones, second try getting some different heads (i dont know what you’re using now but maybe try some with a lot of warmth and mylar. something like remo ebony pinstripes. not the new flat black ones though but the glossy ones.) also tighten the snares up a lot and make sure you crank your heads down. then dampen again accordingly.
